The Communicator program manages DNC uploads and downloads to machines. It is a vital communications link, but can run in the background of your system.

Communicator is the DNC Server module of Wonderware DNC Professional. It runs on PCs that are connected to machine tools via RS232/422 using multiport serial cards or serial hubs. Uploads and downloads are initiated through Controller, the Wonderware DNC Professional user interface, or through remote requests from the CNC controls.
